Privacy Policy

1. The short version

WhaleGraph does not store personal data. It has no accounts, sets no cookies, and runs no advertising or tracking networks. Our server logs contain no IP addresses. Our analytics count visits in aggregate and cannot identify you.

2. What happens when you visit

Your IP address is used, never stored. Every web request carries the address it came from, and our servers need it to send the page back. They also use it for a few seconds to limit abusive request rates. It is not written to our logs, our database, or our analytics.

Server logs. For running and securing the service, our web server records which page was requested, when, the response status, the referrer, and your browser's user-agent string. The IP address is removed before anything is written. The logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Analytics. We run our own copy of Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool, to count page views, referrers, and a few on-site actions. For example, it records a click on a link to Polymarket, the section of the page it came from, and the market's category. A returning visitor is recognized only within a single day, through a hash whose key is replaced daily and destroyed within 48 hours. Plausible uses your IP address at the moment of the visit to estimate your approximate location, and does not store the address. Nothing here can be traced back to you.

Local storage. Markets you star are saved in your own browser and never sent to us.

3. Feedback form

The form on the Contacts page is anonymous. It sends only the message you write, with no name and no contact details, and it is delivered to the operator through Telegram. Because we don't know who sent it, we can't reply to it. Please don't put personal information in the message.

4. On-chain data is public

The wallet addresses, trades, and positions displayed on the Site are public records on the Polygon blockchain, retrieved via public APIs. They are not personal data we collected from you, and we make no attempt to link an address to a real-world identity.

5. Links to Polymarket and other sites

Links from the Site to Polymarket may carry a referral code identifying WhaleGraph (see section 6 of the Terms). When you follow one, Polymarket and its link-attribution provider, Dub, may record the click and set their own cookies on Polymarket's domain to credit a sign-up to us. That happens on their side, under their privacy policies, and we have no access to it.

Polymarket shows us aggregate referral statistics: the number of sign-ups, active traders, and the fee share we earn. We use them only to measure how many visitors the Site sends to Polymarket, and never combine them with anything else.

Our servers fetch market and wallet data from Polymarket's APIs and Polygon infrastructure; your browser does not contact them for this. Once you follow any external link, the destination's own privacy policy applies.

6. Legal basis

The only personal data we handle passes through without being stored: the IP address in transit, and whatever you choose to write in the feedback form. We process it on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the Site and in reading messages sent to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our servers are hosted by Hetzner in Germany. Feedback messages pass through Telegram, which operates outside the EU.

7. Your rights

Because we store no personal data and have no accounts, there is normally nothing we can retrieve, correct, or delete about you. If you sent a feedback message and want it removed, send another one through the Contacts page quoting it, and we will delete it from the operator's Telegram history. You may also complain to a data protection authority: in Montenegro, the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information (azlp.me), or the authority in the country where you live. We make no automated decisions about you. The Site is not intended for anyone under 18.
